Reports To: General Manager (GM)

Main Function

• The Security Operative ensures the safety of the people, property and other valuable assets.

Role Responsibilities
Patrolling and Monitoring:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to check for unusual activities or security breaches.
• Monitor surveillance equipment (CCTV) and report any suspicious behaviour or activities.

Access Control:

• Verify the identity of individuals entering secured areas.
• Ensure proper use of identification badges and log visitors, contractors, and deliveries.

Incident Response:

• Respond promptly to alarms and disturbances.
• Investigate incidents and escalate to appropriate authorities if necessary.
• Assist in emergency situations, including evacuation procedures.

Safety and Reporting:

• Enforce safety regulations and report any hazards.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, observations, and daily activities.
• Address conflicts or disturbances with a calm and professional demeanor.
• De-escalate situations to maintain order.

Other Duties:

• Operate and maintain security equipment (e.g., radios, alarm systems).
• Provide excellent customer service to staff, visitors, and stakeholders.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Experience / Qualifications

• High School Diploma and its equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience.
